Financial Assistance Available at Crisis Control Ministry

In Forsyth County, 46,613 people live at or below the poverty level. (That equates to 14.3% of the population.) Nearly one-third (13 million) of our nation's poor are children. It is not difficult, therefore, to understand how one event - whether it is lack of affordable health care, childcare, transportation, or car repair - might temporarily result in a family being unable to pay a month's rent or afford all of their bills. We, at Crisis Control, aim to help people through these hard times. We also believe that we are combating the accelerating rates of homelessness, through both rent and deposit assistance.

In the more than 30 years we have been in existence, the ministry has consistently provided direct services to the poor, working poor, elderly, disabled, and others who find themselves in survival crises. This is accomplished through a personal interview and assessment procedure.

Information for Clients
Crisis Control Ministry provides financial assistance for rent, utilities, and heating fuel. Clients seeking financial assistance will undergo the customary interview process to determine the need, available resources, involvement of other agencies, and a realistic plan to move the client towards relative independence. Clients are required to provide identification and proof of revenues and resources. When you come to request assistance from Crisis Control, you must bring these documents.

Information for Community Supporters
As always, CCM and the clients that we represent are grateful for the continuous support that individuals, organizations, churches, foundations, and businesses provide to help those in the community who are facing less fortunate situations.

There are numerous ways to give to the ministry whether by a financial donation, volunteering your time, or participating in our Gift of the Month program. If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a donor, please go to our Giving page. Please visit our Volunteer page for more information about joining us at Crisis Control Ministry.
