Eagle Scout Honors Family with Project
Spencer Owen is the great-grandson of Ron Rice, the founder of Crisis Control Ministry. Spencer and many of his family volunteer at CCM so it was not a surprise when he decided to do something for the ministry for his Eagle Scout project. Details can be found on page 1 of the spring newsletter.
On Page 2, Barbara Campbell, Board Member and Tuesday night volunteer, reports on statistics for our community and for the ministry.

Medical Crisis Puts a Family at Financial Risk
Steve Smith, a Thursday morning interviewer at the Winston-Salem office, tells us the story of one client he recently interviewed. "Doris" was unemployed for almost nine months when her husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. See the full article on page 1.

Recently, Ruth Bailey, a Kernersville volunteer, was surprised when a former client returned to hand her a large donation and to say "thank you." Ruth thought she meant, "Thank you to Crisis Control," but the former client said, "No, I mean thank you to YOU! You helped me many years ago and I will never forget you."
