Crisis Control Ministry announced that its Board of Directors has elected two new members: Mary Ann Davis and Katy O’Kennedy.
Margaret Elliott, Crisis Control Ministry Executive Director, said, “We are so happy that Katy and Mary Ann have agreed to share their time and talents with CCM. They bring a wealth of talent and experience to our Board.”
Mary Ann Davis received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Salem College and a Master of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Gardner-Webb. She taught in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools from 1974 to 2009. She also worked as both Professor and Director in the Department of Teacher Education at Salem College from 2000 to 2015.
Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, Katy O’Kennedy came to North Carolina in 1990. Katy has worked in FMCG companies throughout her career, starting as a marketing assistant at Planters Lifesavers and ending up at HanesBrands in the Brand Champion group. Upon leaving HanesBrands, Katy became a marketing consultant for Gold Toe Moretz and Gildan. She then set up her own small Internet business, Silver Edge Gear, which markets products designed to stop the “stink” of sports gear.
