A stocked kitchen can provide more than meals. It can bring relief, stability and peace of mind during a financial crisis.
When an unexpected expense, loss of income or other financial challenge makes it difficult to afford groceries, Crisis Control Ministry is here to lend a helping hand. Through our client-choice food pantries in Winston-Salem and Kernersville, neighbors can select food and household essentials that best meet the needs of their families. Food orders are designed to provide nutritious meals for up to two weeks and may include milk, eggs, meat, fresh produce, pantry staples, toiletries and other available items.

Choice Matters
Food assistance should offer more than something to eat. We want every neighbor who visits Crisis Control Ministry to feel welcomed, respected and cared for during what may be a difficult season.
Our client-choice food pantries provide a shopping experience that allows neighbors to take a cart through the pantry and select the foods and household essentials that best meet their needs and preferences. Instead of receiving a pre-packed box of items they may or may not use, neighbors have the freedom to choose what works for them and their families. That choice is an important part of preserving dignity, but our approach goes beyond choice. We want to care for the whole person. That means creating a welcoming experience, offering nutritious options, and providing support with compassion and respect.
Our hope is that neighbors leave with more than groceries to fill their refrigerators, pantries and bellies. We want them to leave encouraged, with a little more joy and hope in their hearts as they move through a challenging season.
Receiving Food Assistance
Neighbors seeking food assistance begin by speaking with a member of our team about their current situation and household needs. Because Crisis Control Ministry provides emergency assistance to people experiencing a financial crisis, documentation may be needed to help us understand your circumstances and determine eligibility for assistance.
